Don't Tell the Bride

Have you been watching Don't Tell the Bride?
In case you have missed it, it is basically a programme on BBC Three that gives the Groom £12,000 to arrange the wedding alone without the bride knowing any of the details.

They live separately for 4 weeks while the Groom has to organise everything from the venue and food to the brides dress! This results in a lot of tears and extra money being spent on emergency dresses in quite a few episodes once the bride gets to try the dress on.

It makes for great viewing as there are a lot of tears and tantrums - from both the Bride and the Groom! It does make you wonder why Brides sign up for this programme though if they don't trust their men to organise the wedding- i can only presume it is the money.

The question is.. do you trust your partner enough to organise your wedding day for you?

What Theme Are You Going For ?

Congratulations to those of you who are planning their wedding at the moment.
We would love to hear what theme you are going for.....

Last year we did lots of country fete, festival, vintage style weddings and would like to hear what ideas you have up your sleeve to create your perfect wedding day.

Olympics Themed Wedding

Happy New Year !
It is now 2012 and the year of the Olympics. We have a feeling that this year is going to be the year of bright colours. We have already had quite a few enquiries for bright weddings that are fully embracing the Olympic theme.

The colours of the olympic rings are lovely and bright - you could have each table as a different colour to add impact as soon as people walk into your venue. This is easily done with table runners, napkins and flowers.
Table names could either be different sports or countries with a quiz on each table.

If you really want to embrace the theme you could hire our giant outdoor games you could have a compeititon running throughout the wedding while you are having your photos done. Just ask a few friends to man a station and keep score then hand out medals after the speeches. You could also hire lanterns in each colour or bunting to add dramatic colour and have gold medal chocolates as favours.

Juicy Lucy's Fairy Ball

We were very lucky to be invited to do some of the decor at Juicy Lucy's Fairy Ball which was being held at the Patti Pavillion in Swansea on the 18th June for the Ysgol Crug Glas Charity.

It was a fantastic evening with women wearing wedding dresses and men in black tie.You can see some of the images here on the photographer, Marc Smith's, website

We provided candelabras and lots of tissue paper pom poms, lanterns and also gorgeous tulle pom poms in bright colours. Tulle pom poms are new best friends as they add such a vibrant splash of colour and look gorgeous as you can see from the pictures below.

Juicy Lucy design some lovely stationary and gifts and also design some gorgeous wedding stationary with there iconic fairy imagery but personalised to you.

Amazing Wedding Photographer

We met the most amazing vintage style photographer at Jamie & Nilans wedding at the Tithe Barn in Petersfield recently. Eliza Claire is a great photographer who catches all the details of the wedding and sneaks around capturing moments without you even knowing she is there. She got some really good shots that showed the personalities of Nilan and Jamie and also said some rather lovely things about us as well on her blog.
Thanks Eliza we hope to work with you again in the future.

Tithe Barn Peterfield Purple Wedding - Jaminie & Nilan May 1st 2011

We had the pleasure of doing the decor for Jaminie and Nilan's gorgeous purple wedding on Sunday.
It was a gorgeous wedding with perfect weather and lovely purple accents.

We met Eliza Claire who is a brilliant wedding photographer, you can see her gorgeous work here http://elizaclaire.com/.

Jaminie wanted the wedding to have lots of colour and personal touches. We got up to the barn nice and early and set up the following:
A large sweetie table for the guest to enjoy
Huge hurricane lamps with church candles and purple petals in and around the base
Two 5 foot Crystal trees that lit up at the end of the aisle with purple iris flowers wired on
Two Frames with ivy, pearl and crystal hearts with a J in one for Jamie and an N in the other for Nilan- that went either side of the barn doors
White and Purple lanterns that went in the trees outside and lit up at night
Jam Jar Scented Candles
Childrens play area with space hoppers for the adults
Mr and Mrs letters

Some sneaky preview pictures below, some courtesy of Eliza Claire.
Watch this space, more to follow.
